heidi by hedi

is it possible that so much emotion can be drawn from such simple portraits.
some argue that hedi slimane's work is amateur at best - too simple.

yet it is their lack of embellishment and photo effects which make them so impressionable.

now listening to i'll try anything once by the strokes

Emily a dit…: I don't think there is anything wrong with simplicity, and flaws and imperfections is what make photos interesting. Perfectly airbrushed and photoshopped fashion photos don't draw you in. These are just gorgeous though, I especially like the first one. Great post.

Romany a dit…: Simplicity. I wish magazine editors would also try this with their covers. They seem to think that by jam-packing the front cover full of writing and what-not then we're more likely to buy the thing. Well, as far as I'm concerned, it's a complete turn-off.
